The June Bug Cottage

This place was great for our group of three after a Mariners game. Despite being an older house, it managed to feel cozy and still very spacious. The backyard was definitely the highlight! The couch was very comfortable, and the beds equally. I liked the decor along with the large TV in the living room which is perfect for relaxing. The neighborhood was safe, and the host Nicholas, was communicative and made everything easy for us. We enjoyed the space.

We had a wonderful stay here! The home is cozy and has everything you might need for a comfortable visit. We also appreciated the fenced-in yard, it was such a great bonus and made the stay even more enjoyable. We’ll happily stay here again.

We all realize that these places are often people's second homes and they are treated like second children. Hand me downs and uncomfortable furniture. This place is so much better. Anyone that lets me compost is high on my list! It's the little things like nice dishes and a good coffee pot. Comfy beds and great pillows. Nice lamps and lots of good places to charge everyone's devises. Quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors and police drivers. It's very accessible to Seattle and the freeways. I would stay again in a blink!!!!

We were in need of a last minute lodging change due to unacceptable conditions in a place we booked for our stay in Seattle for my husband’s surgery. We had two dogs with us which limited options and we had to find something quickly. Nicholas was so incredibly helpful and flexible with us, allowing an early check in so I could move in while my husband was in surgery and drive him directly to the June Bug House after he was discharged. We found the house very clean and comfortable which allowed my husband to rest for a couple days before our long drive home. This is a perfect spot for dog owners and very quiet. We highly recommend!

The cottage was cozy and the small things done to make it more welcoming were appreciated-board and card games, cozy throw on the couch, ability to stream whatever we wanted. Quiet neighborhood and plenty of parking for two cars in front. We liked the private back deck with the great view

We loved our stay at this house! Both the front and backyards are fenced in, so our dogs had room to roam safely. There were dogs toys and a dog bowl there when we arrived, which made it obvious that the host cared about us. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet. We would definitely stay there again!

we loved our stay. the house was beautiful and the yard was fenced for our dog. only thing the EV charger is a Tesla charger, and I didn't have an adapter to charge our EV. but other than that everything was great and we loved playing some of the games, that are pictured. thank you for sharing such a beautiful place

This was a very nice airbnb. It was very private with a beautiful backyard. Dog friendly. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was a beautiful space. Next time I'm in the area and certainly going to try to rebook this same location. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. Very friendly but not intrusive.

Quaint, clean cottage with easy access to downtown Seattle water taxis and good restaurants. The beds were very comfortable, and we loved the fenced in yard for our dog and the apple tree.

When we first arrived the A/C wasn't working. Nicholas responded right away spent time with us trouble shooting and even offered to come out to the house even though it was late in the evening, thankfully we were able to get it working via texting.

This place is located in an amazing location in Seattle. It has all the amenities you could want. The host is responsive and very nice. We were just there for a short day but thoroughly enjoyed it.

It’s a lovely, cozy house. We enjoyed the games and the backyard chill space. I appreciated the Pantene shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. Even though I didn’t use them I thought that was a nice touch. The kitchen had plenty of counter space and seems to be wheelchair accessible. Another nice touch was the guestbook on the coffee table. I liked being able to see where people were from that had stayed there.

Was located close to catch water taxi to Seattle.

It was a great spot for our one night stay. The fenced yard was perfect for our small dog. Street parking out front was ample enough for our large truck and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Nicholas was very responsive to any questions I asked. I would stay again if we find ourselves in Seattle.

Nicholas's cottage was perfect for our family. Super cute, a space for everyone, equipped with everything you need, and within 15 mins of everything we wanted to do. Nicholas was very responsive, gave great recommendations, and was super friendly. Loved the location for it's proximity to Seattle and other activities, but in a super peaceful area. They had an apple tree in the backyard, which my kids enjoyed as well.

We loved staying at the June Bug Cottage! It was clean, welcoming and homey. Our pups loved the safely fenced in yards (front and back!) and air conditioning. The Cottage is also located in a super safe and quiet neighborhood and backed right up against a beautiful forest that provides even more privacy and peacefulness. Overall it was a great stay and we've already talked about staying again, or checking out the hosts other location!

Cozy place, communicative host!

This sweet little cottage backs right up on the West Seattle Greenbelt, making it a really peaceful place to spend some time. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Kitchen was a bit tiny but outfitted with everything you'd need. Only issue was the toilet -- it clogged and overflowed! Nick was very helpful after this happened; it was a minor hiccup.

Our stay was perfect and the house provided all that we needed while there. We felt at home the entire time. Would definitely stay again!

Nicholas’s place was super clean and was perfect for our family and dogs to stay the week. The location was central enough that it was easy to get back and forth between sight seeing and my son’s summer camp. The enclosed back yard and seating area was comfortable for us and we enjoyed looking out on the Greenbelt. The AC worked well on the hotter days and the house was well stocked and comfortable for us. I really appreciated how clean it was including the linens.

Great place to stay. Conveniently located between The Sound and Alki Beach. Backyard patio was private and great place to hang out if the weathers nice!

Nicholas is a really friendly host. We had a lot of questions about Seattle because it was our first time visiting, and Nicholas answered a lot of our questions. The house was huge and clean, it was just a really nice place to stay in and enjoy time with family and pets.

Cozy & comfy house for family reunion / multi-person Celebrations of Life. Well appointed kitchen. Host responsive when towel ring came off the wall. Some beds are rather small but they worked. Would definitely stay here again!

June Bug Cottage was the perfect place for us and the pups for our Seattle trip. The amenities are well thought out and exactly what we needed. The grill was the cleanest we've seen at an Airbnb. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The deck has the best morning sun for enjoying coffee. Nicholas was very responsive and even offered us early check-in! This place is one of the most pet friendly places we've stayed. If you have time to walk over to the College, check out the Arboretum and Chinese Gardens (which are also pet friendly). This is definitely one of the best stays we've had in Seattle, and would love to stay here again in the future! A true gem just outside the city!

This was a great place to stay! The backyard was really great because the dogs had a roomy and secure place to run around. It's in a quiet neighborhood with parking right in front of the house. I'll definitely consider staying here again.

Great home and beautiful flex room off the backyard/deck. Doing yoga there in the morning felt like being in the woods. Fenced yard front and back was great for traveling with pups.

We spent two nights at Nicholas's house and wish we could have stayed a week. It was so cozy and HUGE with a gourmet kitchen and large fenced yard. Unlike many confusing airbnb appliances the ovens were easy to use. The microwave and fridge/freezer were ginormous as well. We spent most of our time hanging out in the living room with our dog under the cozy blankets. The yard (and dog toys!) were great for the dog, but for a longer/easier walk we drove her to Seward Park (with stunning views of the city on the way). There was a parking spot right in front of the gate. We would return in a heartbeat!

Second time at Nicholas's place, and it still feels like home. We love the location to downtown, and the quiet neighborhood. The three beds are comfy, and the kitchen always has what we need. This is our go to Airbnb when we come to town for any event. Thank you Nicholas!

Nice little house with all the amenities. Took some time to find, but no problem. Great to have fenced yards so our dog could wander around on his own. Found "evidence" that a previous dog visitor left behind on the lawn, but we handled it. Fully functional kitchen, didn't even have to sharpen the knives (a first for an Air BnB). Comfortable living room with a giant TV (maybe too giant for the room). My only concern were the beds: there are no actual mattresses in the house, just big blocks of foam, topped with memory foam, and covered with a polyester sheet. I read that other visitors were OK with them, but they really didn't work for us. I went out the day after arrival and bought some cotton sheets, that helped a little. When remaking the bed (that we hadn't used) with the cotton sheet, we found someone else's hair on the poly sheet, oh well.

We especially appreciated the fully fenced front and back yards, which gave our kids plenty of safe space to explore and play. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood with just a quick drive to downtown Seattle. Our family of three and dog enjoyed this nicely decorated, clean and comfortable house. Front and backyard are fenced, our dog loved being able to have space to run and play.

We had an amazing time! In town for a family get together and loved the location of Nicholas's place. Neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Felt very safe and centrally located to all the activities we did. Host was communicative the home was well equipped. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend the home to others.

We had a great stay at this cottage. It's on a quiet street and very close to so many great things in West Seattle. We stayed with our dogs, and the fenced front and back yards were great for them. The house is very comfortable, and has a really nice memory foam mattress in the room we used. Our stay was short, so we didn't use the laundry, but it's nice that it's available. The kitchen appliances are nice and everything works well. The kitchen is stocked with basics. It was fine for our needs, but there's not a lot as far as serving dishes and things for any larger meals. What they do have is nice, though, so it's perfectly workable for normal meals. Nicholas checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything, and he always responded to questions very quickly. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed here and went to an even at the Chinese Gardens which was just a few minutes from the home. It was a great quiet neighborhood and the house was very well taken care of and prepared for us! Also only 15-20 min drive to downtown. Loved it!

This house was so nice, we would absolutely recommend this place to our friends visiting Seattle. It was a quiet and cozy stay. All aspects of the house were well thought out (decor, furniture, etc.) and felt like home.

I would love to stay again. Nicolas’s place was close to where we were working and to groceries and restaurants. He had everything we needed for a safe and comfortable stay. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

We loved this place for our family and pup! It was easy to drive both to T-mobile (less than 15 minutes) and Climate Pledge (25 minutes). Then we came home to a welcoming home and cozy beds. My family and I spent our Thanksgiving Holiday here at Nicholas’s place, we really enjoyed our time together and felt right at home! The place was clean and cozy that felt like a cabin getaway. We appreciated the kitchen space for cooking together and the living room for football. Overall a great stay!

The June Bug Cottage was a slice of heaven and had everything we needed. The Host was very helpful and communicated with us as needed. The restaurants were filled with awesome service. We truly enjoyed our time and will return one day we hope.

Our pups loved this place! They had a great time romping in the front and back yards, and immediately felt comfortable in the house. We loved it too. This is a very comfy house that was a pleasure to stay at. Nicholas was incredibly quick to reply and I felt up to date at all times. We needed something last minute due to the Seattle power outages and he worked to get us into the house as soon as he possibly could. We can't recommend this place high enough!

Our family had a lovely stay in this cozy cottage! The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal and enjoy morning coffee, and the view of the green space from the back deck was lovely. There was also a nice selection of games for kids & adults, and thoughtful little touches like a basket of toys for our dog to play with. All in all, a great place to stay while you explore Seattle.

We loved our stay at Nicholas' place. It was comfortable, clean, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful while still being a short drive from grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The owners have taken care decorating and furnishing their space and it shows. The beds are very comfy and the shower was always hot. We especially loved reading under the covered patio in the beautiful backyard and enjoyed picking apples from the tree. I'd especially recommend this stay if you are bringing your pup with you, both the front and back yards are fully fenced and secure. Would absolutely stay again.

A cozy, peaceful place to stay in the busy city. The neighborhood is nice and seems safe. The yard is private and serene. The house is a small and peaceful residence. The host is also very responsive andworked with me to allow a slightly early check-in even when the house has been rented the day prior to my stay.

Cozy cottage We had a nice couple of nights. I do wish there was a hatchet or axe to cut some of the wood up for the fire pit. A few more kitchen items would be good too. Tongs, extra spatula, water dispenser would add to the experience. But, overall everything was pretty great.

Great little cottage! Our friends live north and this was a perfect meeting spot in the middle for four adults and a few little kids. Very cute little cottage! Love the back patio. What a wonderful gem of a place. It is simple and quaint yet completely comfortable and has everything you would need. The kitchen is well outfitted, the bedrooms are fresh with nice comforters and mattresses. Easy check in and would book again especially with an early flight to catch.

Lots of dogs in the neighborhood but the house and back yard, very private. loved the access to the backyard. Beds were comfy, everything was clean. Easy access to all seattle has to offer. would stay here again for sure.

This is a lovely abode. We stayed five nights for our Seattle vacation. It felt very spacious for three people and one little pup. It was clean, bright, and very quiet. Always a pleasure to return to after a tiring day in the buzzing city to watch something on the big TV. We didn't spend much time on the expansive back deck but if you're a patio/deck person, this will absolutely hit the spot. Lots of nature and the yard has beautiful landscaping. We walked our doggo often in the neighborhood; it's friendly and peaceful. "Pro" tip: go north and walk 10-ish minutes, there is bus route 125 that will take you directly to the ferry and further downtown. It is shorter when one actually is walking it. The bus has mostly its own lanes and it is pretty fast to get there. Will return if it's available next time we're in Seattle.

My family and I had a great stay! Beautiful home, and we spent as much time as we could on the gorgeous back deck. The neighbors were friendly and our girls made friends with the kitty next door. Well worth the trip, would recommend.

This single story home was located in a very nice neighborhood. We found lots of nice coffee shops and food places nearby. Our favorite part about the trip, alki beach was about 10 min away!! Host was very communicative and responsive. If you have any issues, he will try to fix right away! The best part was the nice AC/heater. We used both features during our stay!

I seriously can’t say enough good things about this place, but I’ll try. The backyard deck is absolutely beautiful!! Super private, with comfortable seating. The TV is literally the nicest TV I’ve ever used in my life. The mattresses are SO SO SO comfortable, felt like sleeping on a cloud all night long!!! The couch is placed in the perfect spot so if you want to lay down and watch tv, you can do that, and it’s big enough so even with one person laying on it, two more people can easily sit and watch. I could go on but, it’s more of the same- everything about the place is better than I expected it to be, in a million tiny ways that all add up to make the experience so much nicer. :)
